THE IDEA BEHIND ROOKHABIT

Practice with a purpose.

Import completed games, find recurring decisions, and practise the positions that matter to you.

The analysis

Stockfish analyses your moves and checks possible mistakes. Each exercise offers candidate moves and a continuation to explain their ideas.

The practical candidate favours development, castling and forcing moves among options rated close to the engine leader.

Skills and potential

Your skills show how your decision quality changes compared with your first games. Training builds potential; improvements in later Chess.com games confirm it.

Your data

No Chess.com password is needed. Completed public games and practice results are stored on this server. A necessary browser cookie keeps your workspace separate. We keep aggregate statistics of visible pages, interaction, training use, referring sites, originating post, device, browser and language for 90 days. We also measure reading depth, active time, loading speed and general errors. The campaign code travels in the link during navigation. Each page load uses a temporary key to confirm its signals; these statistics store no IP addresses or visitor identifiers. As a guest, access depends on this browser’s cookie. With a verified account you can recover your library and sign in on other devices. We store your email and a protected password hash, never your plaintext password.

Chess.com archives may take up to 12 hours to update. Imports run in batches to share computing resources; you can continue importing older games. There is no paid tier or daily game allowance.
